Update

So Brendan had his "18" month well child visit yesterday.

Here is the results.

Height: 33 1/2 inches tall
Weight: 33lbs
Head Circumference: 50 1/2 cm

So he is growing really well. Runs, climbs and does everything that he should be doing physically.

Now I brought up the speech problem again and she feels that it is an expressive speech issue and that we are going to get started and Early intervention (Speech Therapy) Which should help with that. She doesn't think it is a hearing issue since he understand what we are say and will follow directions when he feels like it. Like yesterday during the visit he did everything I told him to do.

He had a 100.4 fever Saturday night and was rubbing his ear a little that night as well but he was fine on Sunday so I had her check his ear to see if it was infected again and sure enough it was. He was put on Omicef and she is referring us to an ENT specialist since he has had 3 EIs in 4 months all in the same ear.

He also had two shots and blood taken to check lead levels.

That is pretty much Brendan in a nut shell from yesterday.

I also asked her about some stuff with Raymond and Gabriel.

Raymond has been coughing a lot especially after running around, talks to fast or gets really excited. She decided to do a two week trail of an albuterol inhaler. If that helps him with the coughing the he most lightly has activity induced asthma.

Gabriel has always gotten motion sickness traveling on planes but he started to do it more on car rides as well, anything over an hour he gets sick, so she put him on a medication for that. When we went to our family BBQ on the Sunday before Memorial Day he got some mosquito bites, the next morning they had swelled to four times their original size and it took two days worth of benadryl for the swelling to go down. If it happens again he has to go back to see the allergist to be tested again she thinks he has an allergy to something in the mosquito's saliva.

So that is the medical aspect of the boys. Other than that all is well.

Happy Belated Easter to everyone.

The kids had a blast. We did a really low key day. We stayed in our PJ's and the kids enjoyed an Egg hunt and opening their baskets. We had a wonderful Polish dinner and chilled the rest of the day. It didn't get much better than that.

Now this week is a pretty quiet nothing big going on. But we did get our refund back finally. We did this back at the end of january and they decided to take it for one of my student loans, but because we filed a injured spouse form they returned all but a 1000 dollar back since the debt is not my husbands it is mine. So now we have some extra money, we can get our car inspected and tuned up.(It has lasted us almost 4 years) We'll also be able to put a little more money away for our trip to Vermont this summer.

Saturday night hubby and I went out to see a movie.. DragonBall Evolution...Horrible...the script was lame, the effects could have been a hundred times better..the only good part was James Marsters as Piccilo

Well got to get ready to get Ray from School..

Circle

What to does one do when your 4 year old won't listen and your 17 month old won't stop climb?

Well this Mom becomes a broken record jack-in-the-box, well that is at least how I feel. I get why the 17 month old does what he does, but the 4 year old I am getting close to my wits end with him. He needs to listen, and when I tell him, he claims he is, which could be true but he doesn't follow through with anything I ask him to do or his favorite saying is "I can't" If I never hear the word can't again it will be a miracle.

Well that felt good to get off my chest and now I must go and get after my kids again....

My life is a circle....

What I am Doing Right Now:

Long Time No See

Wow it has been quiet a while since I last updated this blog. So much has been going on I don't know where to start...

The kids are getting bigger and bigger everyday and I am amazed by them.

Raymond is a 1st grader and doing wonderfully. He loves to go to school and has gotten great grades in the first two quarters.

Gabriel is 4 now, He has been seeing a GI specialist since sept(once a month) and the issues are slowly resolving themselves. He now weighs 40lbs and is 41 inches tall.

Brendan turned 1 in Nov..he is now 17 months old and finally is starting to talk his first words were All Done..He knows the sign for that but finally said the words yesterday, though he still may need some speech threapy to help him since he is a little delayed in that department, but other than that he is growing very well..his last appointment he weighed 30lbs and was 33 inches tall. He just got over another ear infection as well.

We got the kids pictures done and I will be picking them up this week.

I think those things are the highlights,,other than all of us being sick so much this past winter..

I need to start writing more in this but, again my kids are number 1..I'll be back to post picture when they come in.
